New Delhi, 1st July 2024: Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Ahmed Ali Dahir, Ambassador of Somalia, and the people of Somalia on the occasion of their Independence Day.
In a message of goodwill, Mr. Marwah acknowledged the historical significance of this day for the Somali people, marking 64 years since Somalia gained independence from colonial rule on 1st July 1960. He praised the resilience, unity, and determination of the Somali people in their ongoing journey towards peace and development.
“On behalf of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, I extend my warmest congratulations to His Excellency Ahmed Ali Dahir and the people of Somalia on this momentous occasion of their Independence Day. This day is a celebration of the spirit and strength of the Somali people. It is an opportunity to reflect on their rich history and to look forward to a future filled with hope, progress, and prosperity,” said Marwah.
He further emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and cooperation between India and Somalia, highlighting the role of media and entertainment in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening bilateral relations. Mr. Marwah expressed his commitment to enhancing collaboration between the two countries through various initiatives and programs spearheaded by ICMEI.
“ICMEI is dedicated to building bridges of understanding and collaboration between nations through the powerful medium of media and entertainment. We are eager to explore new avenues of partnership with Somalia to celebrate our shared values and cultural heritage,” added Marwah.
