There is a fake post on Facebook using my original photo posted on National Heroes Day. This fake post, which is clearly a lie, contains malicious information and is intended to deceive the public. The people who run and spread this fake news must face the consequences that will have an impact on the community and bring harm to all those who work to continue to defend the truth.
I hope that my community colleagues and social media users will remain vigilant and be aware of all the information they receive. These actions of spreading fake news are causing confusion, and their effect is to undermine people's trust in real information. Fake news is a major threat to the integrity of our community and the overall development of the city. Those who create and spread these actions are not breaking the law, and we commend the agencies that are working to hold those responsible accountable.
