The Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) stands as one of the Philippine government's key initiatives aimed at reintegrating former rebels into mainstream society. On October 29, 2019, a significant milestone in this program was achieved with the hand-over ceremony of financial assistance to twenty (20) former rebel-beneficiaries at the City Mayor’s Office Conference Room.
The E-CLIP program serves as a cornerstone of the Philippine government's counter-insurgency strategy, offering an avenue for former rebels to rebuild their lives. Unlike traditional military-centered approaches, E-CLIP fosters reconciliation and peace-building by recognizing that insurgency is rooted in economic, social, and political disparities. Through this program, the government aims to demonstrate its commitment to inclusive growth, sustainable development, and genuine peace efforts.
